Our affiliation
International Okinawa Kobudo Kazokukai
Ittai Dojo is affiliated with the International Okinawa Kobudo Kazokukai (IOKK) for the development of Matayoshi tradition Kobudo.
The affiliation is within IOKK's technical representation in Mexico and connects the dojo with follow-up, training, and organization events.
Matayoshi tradition
A distinct line of Okinawan Kobudo.
The Matayoshi tradition is associated with Shinkō Matayoshi and Shinpō Matayoshi, who organized one of the most structured systems of Okinawan Kobudo, with a broad repertoire of traditional weapons.
Within Ittai Dojo, this tradition is studied as an independent discipline. At the same time, karate and Kobudo are understood as sister disciplines: in Okinawa they went hand in hand.
Discipline
Affiliation provides context; practice provides continuity.
The relationship with IOKK places the program within a specific technical structure. The student's development, however, still depends on regular practice, correction, and sustained progression.
